Everyone has their own favourite brownie recipe. I really like this one. Please remember brownies are not cakes. These brownies will be slightly crusty on top and gooey inside and may give the impression that they have not been baked properly!
Measure 1 tbspn of flour and add ½ cup of water. Cook until thick, stirring all the time (or micro for 1-2 mins) Cool. Keep aside.
Melt ¼ cup of butter and add 3 tbspns of cocoa powder. Mix very well until nice and smooth. Cool.
In a bowl mix 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 and ¼ tspns of baking powder, ¼ a tin of condensed milk, 1 tspn of vanilla essence and ¼ tspn of salt.
Now please mix steps 1, 2 ,3 and ¼ cup of water together very well. Lastly add a generous handful of dark choco chips, white choco chips and small pieces of roasted walnuts. Gently mix everything together. Grease and dust a medium sized square or rectangle tin and pour the batter into it and level the batter by tapping the tin on your kitchen platform. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160 degrees.for about 30-35 minutes or until the cake has left its sides. Cool and invert on a wire rack. Cut into neat and equal squares. Dust with icing sugar.
